Since 1977, Hockey Ministries International has been active in every area of hockey including youth, college and junior, European, Minor Pro, and the NHL. Through our camps, chapels, clinics, and conferences we serve the spiritual needs of players, coaches, families and fans.

Hockey Camps

Each summer HMI hosts over 2000 of hockey's youth at Christian Hockey Camps International. The camps are a highlight for these young players. Summer hockey is combined with a caring staff and fun atmosphere, to present the gospel message. It is a special week in the lives of many of these young athletes. Chapels

HMI's chapel program, now present in 22 North American leagues is offered to teams to provide a safe spiritual and emotional resource for players. It is also an opportunity for all players to seek answers, counsel and support, from Chapel Leaders. The chapel program has been recognized by various leagues as being a positive addition to players' schedules.

Stu Grimson - NHLPA

"This is a ministry that will always hold a special place in my life. . . Be it through a chapel program on the road, a summer conference, or a simple breakfast together on an extended trip, Hockey Ministries has been my spiritual companion and confidante."

Pro Conferences

HMI conducts Christian conferences for players, coaches and their families. Participants gather together for a weekend of teaching, fellowship and prayer.

HMI Breakfasts and Other Outreach Events

HMI 2004 All-Star Breakfast
Minneapolis, MN
HMI sponsors Christian Athlete Outreach Breakfasts which are a unique means of providing players the opportunity to hear the Christian message. HMI hosts breakfasts annually at strategic hockey events including the NHL All-Star Breakfast held at the annual NHL All-Star Game. We also assist local churches as they conduct similar events.

Local Rinks

Hockey Ministries International is firmly committed to outreach programs that include every venue of hockey. This includes your local rink to the rinks where the professionals play and beyond.

"Today, a church is not only a dwelling or building, but also something much more fluid. Sometimes the church is a rink, locker room, hotel lobby or an encounter that takes place on the ice."

One of HMI's fundamental beliefs is that the spirit of Christian Faith is a life-long experience. That's why we offer the opportunity for younger players to experience hockey in an environment that actually allows them to polish their hockey skills while secure in the knowledge that their faith is their greatest strength.
