TRUTH

The Word became flesh
and made His dwelling
among us. We have seen
His glory, the glory of the
one and only Son,
who came from the Father,
 full of grace and
truth.
                           John 1:14

A Vision is Cast

Stirred by a personal commitment in 1962, Don Liesemer sensed a great need amongst his teammates, opponents and families attached to the game. As a Christian hockey player, Don recognized that the demanding hockey schedules, practices, game and travel, made it almost impossible for hockey players to have a consistent opportunity to be a part of a local church. As a result; the vision for a ministry to encourage and support these players began to develop.

In the spring of 1977, Hockey Ministries International was established to encourage and meet the spiritual needs of the hockey world.

Through time the ministry has emerged and grown into an international contact point for players of all ages around the world to explore the reality of Christ through camps and team chapels.

Over thirty years of ministry, the goal of Hockey Ministries International is to encourage players to strive for excellence and to recognize that faith in God is their greatest strength.
